During startup on your HP notebook, you see a brief display indicating an ACPI BIOS issue where the system reports an error image. It boots without problems, though you notice this flashing message occasionally. You're looking for a way to eliminate this warning without affecting normal operation.

It seems Mint is attempting to use regular BIOS functions that HP has restricted, which often triggers this issue. This has happened multiple times on HP devices.

It seems to influence performance in some way, though I’m not sure what exactly. I noticed it might be attempting to display the HP logo, which didn’t cause any problems during dual boot. After switching off Windows completely, I experienced this issue.

It displays the recent kernel messages filtered by the 'error' keyword, showing system-related issues or warnings.

ACPI warning: Method _TZ.TZ00._TMP terminated because of earlier issue (AE_NOT_FOUND). Multiple errors occurred during the process. EXT4-fs (sda2) was re-mounted. Opts: errors=remount-ro. Bluetooth hci0 encountered failure -2.

The ACPI warnings appear to be small issues that likely won’t affect performance. They shouldn’t cause any problems. For the installation of "bluetooth hci0: Direct firmware load for brcm/BCM43142A0-0a5c-216d.hcd failed with error -2" using broadcom-bt-firmware, the recommended version for Linux Mint is the deb update.

It seems like you're trying to disable Bluetooth by default, but the system keeps reactivating it. You mentioned stopping it from waking up after suspending it and wondering if you can just clear the ACPI errors for appearance. Let me know how you'd like to proceed!

Consider testing the suggested changes. Open the grub configuration file with nano and verify the default entry resembles "linux /boot/vmlinuz-linux". Adjust the quiet log level to 2 before executing the boot command via quiet ctrl +x followed by y enter. For illustration purposes, avoid copying directly as it may cause issues; this is merely a reference. The target menu is 'Arch Linux, with Linux linux'.
