Unable to view the video on Windows 11 after sleeping.
I upgraded the PC and Windows, choosing sleep mode instead of keeping it on all day. Every time I wake up, the video stalls—just one frame before it freezes completely. This happens with Discord, Chrome, MPV, and Discord videos. GIFs function, but movies and TV play at a very slow 1 fps. It seems the issue might be with the drivers, though everything else seems to work. The only clue is that Steam right-click shows no game icons, possibly because it was already set that way and App & Browser controls were disabled. Chrome version 101.0.4951.67 (64-bit), GeForce Game Ready Driver 512.77, OS 22000.675 (Windows 11), GPU 1080ti, CPU AMD 5900x.
Running in performance mode, turning off the screen after an hour and putting it to sleep manually works. However, it encounters problems using sleep instead.
Check if fast boot is active on Windows and BIOS, then disable them if needed.
It seems the problem might stem from either software or hardware issues. If it's hardware-related, your power supply unit could be the cause. Some older or lower-quality units don't support certain CPU sleep modes, leading to BSoD messages or a black screen when waking up. What model PSU are you using?
It seems you're using a Corsair CX850, which is still functional despite being a few years old. Many users report it freezing or displaying a black screen when in sleep mode, though some manage to run games without issues. The drivers are starting to work better over time.
Upon waking, do you notice any entries in your event log suggesting an issue?
