Unable to view CPU temperatures and the system cannot detect RAM.
I recently assembled a new PC with the following specs: CPU I7 13700k, motherboard ASUS Z690, RAM Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHz, GPU RTX 3090. When checking the CPU temperature in monitoring tools like OpenHardwareMonitor, it doesn’t appear. In the BIOS, the temperature reads a fixed 11°C. I’ve done things like updating the BIOS, refreshing the chipset, and using the ASUS update utility, but still get a message asking to check the ME driver. In monitoring software, RAM shows generic memory even though BIOS identifies it as Corsair iCue. The iCue tool can’t detect it. I’d appreciate any assistance.
The hardware monitor encounters problems with contemporary systems. Consider using HWINFO64, which tends to be the most dependable monitoring tool.
In technical terms, Task Manager may be inaccurate, yet both sides are essentially conveying the same idea. RAM operates at double data rate, meaning the advertised speed is twice the clock frequency. When people mention MT/s or Mbps for RAM, they are actually discussing the data rate instead of the precise clock speed. Most manufacturers and monitoring tools report this frequency, which technically uses different units. There are several possible causes, such as a faulty temperature sensor on the motherboard (though that’s less critical if CPU sensors are functioning) or ASUS placing the chip in an unusual spot that keeps it reading low. Regardless, as long as it works within Windows, it’s generally fine.
