Motherboard: MSI MPG Gaming Edge AC
Processor: Intel i7 9700k running at 4.9 GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 1080 FE
RAM: 16GB of OLOy Warhawk at 3600 MHz
Storage: A 1 TB Seagate Hard Drive and a 500 GB Samsung 850 SSD

I’ve repeatedly attempted to disable vertical synchronization, both within the game's configuration and via the Nvidia Control Panel, and even by disabling G-Sync – to no avail. Could anyone offer some assistance?

Certain video games feature frame lock, a mechanism distinct from VSync. Are there any games where VSync cannot be turned off?
