Hello, I’m facing an issue when trying to start Windows 11 on my system. When I power on the PC, it prompts me to choose a boot device or insert a bootable media and press a specific key. Despite having a used SSD that works fine, I’ve installed Windows 11 using the installation ISO from Windows 10, which was created on an older SSD. After replacing the old SSD with the new one, the PC now asks to select the new drive when it boots. It seems Windows 11 only appears on the new SSD, and I can’t see the boot menu or options for Windows Boot Manager or UEFI OS. I’ve tried disabling CSM and fast boot in BIOS, but it just masks the new SSD’s presence. I also attempted to boot from BIOS without using either old drive, yet it still doesn’t work. My goal is to have a seamless Windows 11 experience on the new SSD without relying on the previous setup.

It seems the Windows 11 installation files ended up on your old SSD instead. That’s why I still recommend removing all other drives during setup.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, we disconnect any SSD and HDD that isn’t essential for the operating system during Windows installation. Now your option is either reinstalling or manually transferring the boot partition to a new SSD and configuring it as the boot device in UEFI using the UEFI Shell available from rEFInd. What’s simpler?

You didn't just install Windows 11 from a USB drive. You likely used an ISO file and installed it onto a new partition of your HDD. Also, you probably removed the old SSD before setting up Windows 11 on the new one. Just follow the steps carefully to ensure everything works smoothly.
