I really enjoy the fresh dark-themed notepad for Windows 11. I’m using a lighter version of Windows 11 called Ghost Spectre Lite to keep things simple and avoid unnecessary bloat. The new notepad isn’t installed yet, and the one I have is standard. Everything else works just fine, but this one crashes at the 15% installation stage, even before it tries to install itself. Deployment fails in PowerShell because of a conflict.

my advice is no. after trying to set up skinned Windows 11, you should also try a text editor with dark mode that isn’t full of broken files. i’ve experienced more issues with notepad over the past ten months than i have with app crashes in the 15 years I’ve used computers before.

I haven't experienced any issues and it appears to be functioning well for me.
