Hi everyone, I recently brought an old computer back to life using an AsRock 980de3/u3s3 motherboard and an AMD FX 6600 CPU. I set it up as a new NAS server and migrated my existing SSD with TrueNAS and two 4TB WD drives that worked well on my previous PC. All storage devices are present in the BIOS, so the system should recognize them without problems. The main issue is that the PC isn’t detecting the SSD with TrueNAS—it doesn’t show up in IDE1 Master. Once I power it on, I see the annoying blinking underscore. I’ve tried moving the SATA port for the SSD to Port 0 and adjusted the boot priority to first, but nothing changed. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi @Shimejii, sorry for the delayed response; things have been hectic! Appreciate your feedback. I’m using my NAS equipment only when necessary and won’t keep these running continuously. I fixed it myself. Instead of installing an existing OS on an SSD, I performed a clean install of OMV and am now using it for another purpose. If anyone faces similar problems, some motherboards are quite particular about USB placement; I ended up needing a USB 2.0 port instead of USB 3.0. Additionally, updating to UEFI or Legacy mode makes a difference.
