Hello everyone, I recently assembled my first PC and wanted to overclock the processor. I adjusted the core clock in the BIOS to 3.9 and left other settings unchanged. The voltage stayed at auto with 1.36V. Everything worked fine on Cinebench. Later, I tried setting it to 4.0GHz, but the voltage changed to 1.40V and the program crashed. I used Cinebench R15, but it also crashed at 3.9GHz when using R20. Can you advise me on how to properly overclock to 4.0GHz or if my CPU is faulty? (mobo B450)

If it started loading but ended up crashing only during the test, you're halfway there. Likely, you just require additional power because of a higher leakage component. Continue pushing it until it overheats.

What are the complete system specifications, including the PSU and CPU cooler models? Also, what were the temperatures recorded during the Cinebench test? Not every chip handles 4GHz performance.
