I own a Dell Latitude 5480 that I acquired some time ago, and I had to reset it due to driver problems. I managed to get through the login process until I hit this issue. As described in picture 1, I need a work or school account to log in, but I don’t have one. When I try to click “set up Windows with a local account,” it takes me back to another screen that again asks for a work or school email, as shown in picture 2. I really need this computer and don’t want to pay for access again. Picture 1

You don’t need to purchase Windows anew. Even if the original setup is irrecoverable, the device remains licensed. Were you connected to a Wi-Fi network before this situation arose?

I resolved the issue, but the reset didn’t work and I had to perform a clean install.
