Unable to Remove MS365
Unable to Remove MS365
I am unable to delete the MS365 application. I have been using Windows 11 for at least two years. Recently, I performed a Windows 11 Update and both Word and Excel ceased functioning. After some time, I chose to remove and reinstall MS365. However, I was unable to uninstall it. I attempted various methods, including online support, and explored registry issues through online help. Some suggestions indicated the registry might be the cause. I also tried several online repair options, but they did not work. The Windows Update even affected Firefox, which I managed to fix.
I began by using the Control Panel to access the Uninstall option. When the uninstall process started, the software suggested Repair instead, which I attempted but it didn’t succeed. Selecting Uninstall returned an error stating “Unable to uninstall” with code 30038-25 and advised using Microsoft Support for registry fixes. That attempt also failed.
The Microsoft 365 activation check failed, and the diagnostic tool only offered guidance on opening MS365 rather than removing it. Another repair file, Scanreg.exe, was recommended but is no longer available since 2023.
I also tried the Windows Recovery utility without success. I ran several repair commands: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image / restorehealth and SFC /scannow.
I’m seeking advice on possible steps to remove MS365. It seems uninstalling is not an option. Please let me know if you can provide any assistance.
I successfully resolved the issue by performing an MS365 Update.
