Unable to reach 3600MHz on Trident Z Neo
Choose the appropriate processor and motherboard based on your system requirements and budget.
Yes, the kit appears in the QVL list from Asus and has been validated at 3600MHz on that board. However, performance can vary depending on the specific configuration, so it doesn’t always ensure stability or consistent results.
Actually, it's not. The QVL memory list for your board shows the highest validated frequency is 3400MHz, with only one kit available. Many kits are validated at 3200MHz. https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/So...0_0730.pdf
You might want to reposition your CPU. I faced problems getting my 3200mhz Trident-Z to function well with XMP. Each time I attempted to push it overclock, random RAM would fail. All other components seemed normal. Once I re-seated the CPU, I successfully achieved XMP speeds without issues. This worked on an X299 as well, so it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try.
Avoid focusing on the QVL when components don’t fit; instead, check timings, voltage, and BIOS updates.
