I'm unable to upgrade from Windows 11 21H2 to 22H2. I've attempted to use Windows Update but encountered error 0x80004005. Through the update process, the screen turns black and the progress bar stops. After restarting, it lands on the Logon page yet my system remains unupdated. When using the Installation Assistant, it displays a standard failure message and ends the process. I've attached my Windows Update log file.

Consider downloading the Windows 10 22H2 ISO and installing the update after mounting it.

You should be able to upgrade without formatting your SSD. Previously, upgrading from Windows 10 to 11 required a full installation.

It indicates whether upgrading "keeping programs and data" is possible; if yes, attempt it. There could be a similar problem as well.

I attempted to create a bootable USB and upgraded successfully. Are there any ways to retrieve the logs?
