I've faced this problem for a while and haven't found a solution. In DX12 games my audio often stops and the game freezes—sometimes it unfreezes, other times it crashes completely and closes. After a few seconds the sound returns. During Discord calls I have to leave and come back before my microphone works again, which can happen every few seconds or even hours apart. This is really annoying and I'm stuck without a fix. I've tried updating GPU drivers, cleaning BIOS, checking RAM health, and verified my specs (Ryzen 9 3900X, RTX 3080, 32GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance, ASUS TUF X570-PLUS, EVGA 850GQ PSU). If anyone has suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.

Have you verified your temperatures? If not, perform stress tests like furmark benchmark in dx12 to see if it depends more on the GPU.

You might have tried a CPU reseat, which occurred about a week ago. I was confused for two days, so I assumed it could be the GPU instead. After reseating my Ryzen CPU, everything seemed fine.
