Unable to overclock Microsoft Intellimouse 1.1a on Windows 7 64-bit with SP1
Unable to overclock Microsoft Intellimouse 1.1a on Windows 7 64-bit with SP1
I've attempted these approaches:

http://itsuite.it.brighton.ac.uk/ok27/We...ndex1.html
http://www.overclock.net/t/596276/changi...z-or-lower
However, I'm still unable to push my MS 1.1a past 125hz. I've learned that disabling xHCI in the BIOS is necessary, but it seems that setting it to Hand-Off was already done. Perhaps the issue is related to using USB 3.0 ports instead of 2.0? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't know about overclocking a pc mouse... it's cool to think about the advantages. Maybe it helps with tracking? Smoother movement and faster reactions.

Why do you think you need a faster Mouse?
Theres little real world difference in the mouse its mostly marketing
I don't "need" a faster mouse. It is easy to tell the difference between 125hz and 1000hz even though it is a few millisecond different. I have also used 1000hz in gaming for a long time now, so the difference would be even more noticeable.
And I think if you tried testing blindly with many mice, you'd probably be wrong
