Overclocking attempt: I’m having trouble getting the CPU to run smoothly due to an error I don’t understand.
I tried to reach 4.5Hz and followed these steps from the video:
1. Changed overclock to manual tuning, leaving all settings auto.
2. Adjusted RAM timing to match the package spec (10-12-12-31-2N latency).
3. Set memory frequency to 2400MHz.
4. Increased DRAM voltage to 1.65.
After completing these changes, Prime95 didn’t finish the test and I encountered a FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4.
I followed the tutorial closely, tweaking settings and adding more VCore, but nothing changed except occasional blue screens.
What should I try next?
Not all computers will overclock identically. Even two systems with identical parts might handle voltage and settings differently, leading to varying speeds or no match at all. You can't simply transfer someone else's configuration directly without tweaking it. These references are useful starting points, but you must adjust them as needed.
I know it needs some tweaking, but that doesn’t fix my issue. I’m not just copying—I’m using it as a reference to adjust.
What changes should I make to enable overclocking? Which variables need updating? What steps should I take?
I ran memtest86 and it passed all four tests. Do you have any advice or solutions?
