Hey everyone, this issue began when Groove Music stopped working and no of my tracks played on my PC. I don’t recall exactly what happened since it’s been over an hour, but I believe it started after I removed my Music directory on the PC and moved the files from my external HDD to a new location. Then I tried setting Windows Music to point to the copied folder, but accidentally switched it to my user directory instead of the original one. From the start, I placed the Music folder on my HDD rather than my SSD, which affected how it displayed. Later, I moved the folder from the external drive into my user folder (named "Music") in my SSD and also copied it back to the HDD.

I attempted to adjust the Windows Music folder’s path in both the copied user folder and the original HDD without moving existing files, but faced errors like “Can't move the folder because there is a folder in the same location that can't be redirected.” When trying to restore or reposition it, I kept getting similar messages. I searched online for solutions but didn’t find a clear fix. An article suggested editing the Music file’s registry settings, but that didn’t help with changing the path. Eventually, I went back to the default location, which resolved the problem.

Now Groove Music should work again, though it still feels off. I’d really appreciate some guidance to get things back to normal. Thanks for your help!

Move all audio files to a separate external location, then restart or reinstall Music Progs, ensuring your music directories remain organized.

I can explain further about the issue. Changing the folder location isn't straightforward because you can't simply move everything out without affecting your personal files.
