I'm working through this step by step. The guide suggested adjusting your laptop's IPv4 address to match OpenWrt's IP. You mentioned you want a static IP like 192.168.2.X, but changing it caused connectivity issues. Let's clarify what you should do:

1. **Current Settings** – Your existing configuration appears functional.
2. **What the Guide Advised** – Change your laptop's IP to 192.168.2.X (or similar) and save it.
3. **Problem** – After saving, you can't connect to the internet. This usually means:
- The new IP isn't being assigned correctly.
- DNS settings might be missing or incorrect.
- Firewall rules blocking access.
4. **Next Steps**:
- Verify the IP assignment in your router or modem.
- Check if DNS servers are configured properly (e.g., using 8.8.8.8 or similar).
- Ensure port forwarding or NAT rules allow web traffic.
- If you're using OpenWrt, confirm the DHCP settings are set up correctly.

If you want to troubleshoot further, let me know what tools you're using (e.g., router admin panel, OpenWrt CLI) and I can guide you through it.

I consistently configure my LAN IP here, while disregarding the other interfaces. This one performs significantly better.

Hey, do you understand why switching your IP to a static one still blocks other Wi-Fi connections?

The fixed IP you configured might not be reachable on different networks. If you can connect to the router, check which devices are using that IP address.
