The MOBO probably came with a program named "Ai Suite 3" that lets you change your CPU settings without restarting. It also tracks voltage, core speed and temperature, fan speeds, cooling system stats, usage, and performance. It offers 5-way optimization. Most likely, this feature replaced the previous option. Did the person in the video use the same MOBO?
