Hey, I see you're dealing with a tricky issue. The hidden file is still missing even after moving the files to another PC. You might need to check if the file was actually deleted or corrupted during transfer. Also, ensure the file permissions are set correctly on the new system. If it's still not visible, try using a different method to access hidden files or consult your IT support for further help.

Can you check if the file has the "System" attribute set?

It might be concealed by a virus. Use this Open Command Prompt (CMD) as an administrator. Move to the drive with hidden files you wish to recover, then run attrib -s -h -r /s /d *.* and press Enter. That will make all hidden files and folders visible as regular ones, allowing you to access them. http://windows.mercenie.com/windows-xp/v...en-folder/

It was actually concealed by a virus. I retrieved the hidden file, sorry for the delayed response—I wasn’t sure how to access drives and folders. Eventually, I set it up correctly and everything is fine. Thank you for your assistance.
