Unable to install Windows 10 on M.2 NVMe drive.
Hello everyone. We're setting up a new rig. Issue: can't install Windows 10 on my M.2 NVMe using a USB flash drive. On reaching the Windows installer, it reports no bootable device found. Details: ASUS Crosshair Impact VIII (DTX) with BIOS updated online, Corsair MP600 2TB on the PCIE slot, Ryzen 9 3950X, Windows 10 Home 16GB from the download page yesterday. CSM is off, no SATA devices, and only one SSD. The BIOS shows the MP600 ran a CMD prompt to partition and format the NVMe drive. Need assistance.
You're having trouble starting the computer. Did you install a tool like RUFUS and prepare a bootable USB drive?
I downloaded the bootable software from their site for a Bootable USB drive and made the flash drive. The Windows installer isn’t detecting my Corsair MP600.
Boot menu not available in BIOS, but system recognizes the drive.
Can you enable booting from BIOS, assign the default drive as bootable, then manually start your USB, install Windows, and finally switch to the MP600 when it restarts?
Follow the instructions provided with your installation media to format it as a bootable drive.
It differs depending on the motherboard, but on a specific screen—likely the one you selected to boot from your USB—you can choose which storage device is set as the default bootable drive.
