I'm setting up Windows 10 on an SSD. I already have it installed but the installation tool keeps showing the error 0x80080005 ~ 0x90018. I downloaded a 5.7 GB Windows 10 installer from a rar file, but I'm unsure if extracting that to a USB and installing directly works. Updated July 18, 2023 by ExtremelyPoorGamer

It's better to create a bootable USB drive. Would you like me to recommend Rufus for this purpose? You can also download and burn it yourself afterward.

Create and launch from a Windows installer rather than running it inside Windows. Ensure you're installing Windows from scratch onto an SSD using a bootable installer. Power on the computer and select the installer during startup. Tools like Windows Media Creation Tool or Rufus can help generate a bootable version.

You can try alternative methods to get a Windows 10 ISO without downloading it directly. Look for official sources like Microsoft support or trusted third-party providers. Ensure you use secure connections and verify the authenticity of the download to avoid risks.

To get the ISO, you need to convert the RAR file into another format like ISO image or USB drive. The 5.7 GB size suggests it might be large enough for a standard ISO file.

You don’t have to create a .ISO file when using the media creation tool. You mentioned you already possess one, correct? Or try Rufus and obtain the recommended .ISO version. There are countless YouTube guides available on both methods.
