I've set up Windows 10 Home on my laptop. The appwiz.cpl window isn't opening, and I can't install or uninstall any programs. Even the third-party uninstaller didn't work—no error messages appeared. All installed apps aren't functioning properly and can't start. Error code 0xc0000142 appears. I've tried resetting, restoring points, and using commands like sfc and wmic.exe, but nothing helps. Please find some solutions for me. Thank you.

Consider installing a repair for your window system. Are you using antivirus software on your computer?

Repair or reset differs from a fresh installation. Always perform a clean install.

I understand your point, though I haven't recommended it because we're uncertain if @MD SAIF can back up all data.

@ TylerDurden! yes, sir I tried safe mode but couldn't install or uninstall anything—even though the appwiz.cpl isn’t opening normally and no error messages appear during normal boot. I reset it too, but nothing works. Applefreak, you’re using default Windows Defender, not any third-party antivirus. Consider a repair installation of your Windows setup. Is there a standard troubleshooting method for this issue?
