Unable to find a method to adjust RGB RAM colors on an affordable B360 MSI motherboard.
Here’s a revised version of your message:
So the remaining pieces from an early 2018 MSI build are a B360 Pro-A MMO (https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813144155) and an i5-8400. I’ve swapped out nearly every other part, and recently installed RGB v-color RAM at 3600 MHz. Unfortunately, I can’t actually hit that speed on this board, but I’m planning to upgrade the motherboard and CPU soon—hoping it will work then.
My main goal is to set the RAM to a fixed color, but I’ve tried MSI Mystic Light (which should support it) and thought my motherboard might not have the right headers, even though it’s an MSI board. I’m wondering if there’s another third-party tool or software that can change the RGB settings beyond the default.
I’ve already tried:
- Installing Mystic Light alone, which wouldn’t launch properly, so I removed it and reinstalled MSI Dragon Center, but it still didn’t work.
- Downloading Corsair Link in the hope it would let me customize colors (though it’s not Corsair Vengeance RAM).
- Installing Auora Synch, which worked once but wouldn’t open at all because I don’t have an ASUS motherboard.
Any suggestions or alternatives?
