RLCraft runs slowly and installing optifine is essential. Initially, using the E3 version—which was the default for 1.12.2—didn’t let the game start with the modpack. Switching to the G5 version helped, but now I encounter issues where launching works, yet once inside a world I face unruntime FPS. In the task manager, GPU usage is minimal and VRAM allocation is low, while CPU is heavily engaged on single cores. I disabled performance settings and restarted, but it didn’t fix the problem. Memory usage is slightly low, suggesting the issue lies with Optifine rendering rather than system resources.

Verify availability of Iris + Sodium for that Minecraft edition. It resembles OptiFine but optimizes PC usage significantly.

I understand Sodium, but the earliest release was for Minecraft 1.16.3, while RLCraft supports Minecraft 1.12.2.

I understand these modpacks don’t play well with Optifine. I’ve been using FTB Ultimate for some time and encountered the same issue. After searching online, it seems there’s no solution to get Optifine to function properly with this modpack.

I think I used to be able to play OptiFine with RLCraft. The modpack is being updated, which might mean the latest version of a mod isn't working with OptiFine anymore.
