I've experienced some persistent problems with my Asus Prime Z390 P.I5 9600K Team group RAM. It came with an XMP profile set to 3200MHz, but it didn't work as expected and became unstable. I encountered various issues like black and blue screens, game crashes (including errors in Destiny 2 with codes like ardvark and ant eater), and file corruption during downloads. The XMP settings were pushing the CPU voltage too high, which wasn't ideal. Eventually, I turned off XMP and the system became stable for several months. Recently, problems resurfaced: downloads kept failing, game saves became corrupt, and even full game installs stopped working. I tried installing an NVIDIA driver but it crashed during extraction. My memory is failing, and I'm unsure if downclocking could help. I'm planning to replace the RAM soon since I'm certain it's deteriorating. I'm hoping to buy new RAM and get it fixed before the deadline.
Are these two RAM modules? If yes, take one out and run it alone with XMP activated. Does it function properly? Or does it not? Check the other stick too. Will both fail together? Or will one succeed while the other fails? Could they both pass? Often only one unit is defective, leaving the other operational. Doing this test will help you decide which to return for repair and keep your system running. TetraSky. Thank you for that. I don't know why i didn't think of that myself. That's my homer "doh" moment for the week lol. I'll test them both out and ill let you know what happens. MonkeyBoy. When i test each stick individually, ill use a different ram slot. Thats another good idea i didn't think of. Also i've been using memtest86. Interesting story. I ran memtest for 12 hours, waiting on it tripping up but it passed. No errors. Then i ran the windows memory diagnostic. It found a cluster of errors a few minutes in. Go figure lol

This option is mainly for improved heatsink fit. Keep in mind there’s an existing faulty slot, so considering an RMA might be wise while you’re covered by warranty. Good luck! Hope it functions well.
