Bluetooth functions properly in the Control Panel under Network and Internet settings, showing the Intel Wireless-AC 9260 with Wi-Fi enabled. However, when attempting a connection, no available networks appear. I've checked all common options—Windows is up to date, device was unplugged and then plugged back in, antenna disconnected, leads swapped, drivers changed from Realtek to Intel—and nothing resolves the issue. Rolling back drivers hasn't helped either. In the Wi-Fi adapter properties, I unchecked the power-saving option. The troubleshooter suggests a driver problem with the Wi-Fi adapter.

I resolved the issue by documenting the steps I took for future reference. In a brief aside, I revisited the manual and realized the Wi-Fi adapter is actually the Intel AC-3168. Windows treats it as the 9260 in the control panel and Device Manager. This was an interesting observation but didn’t seem to relate to the problem. While checking the manual, I also found the revision number sticker on the motherboard—REV: 1.1. It appears the Gigabyte app center installed the latest Realtek drivers, which are compatible only with REV: 1.2. When I accessed the adapters properties and selected “roll back drivers,” it didn’t resolve the issue. So I assumed neither driver set would work. However, the Intel driver was correct, but it functioned only after removing the adapter from Device Manager and checking the box to remove all driver software for that device. After reinstalling, Windows automatically applied the right drivers. In short, ensure your drivers match your board’s revision. When you locate the appropriate drivers, perform a clean install and uninstall any existing ones. It was a fairly simple fix, though I noted some oddities, like the incorrect wireless adapter model shown in Windows and Gigabyte app center ignoring my board revision to install the newest drivers.

Hi, I see you're dealing with the same issues again. Could you clarify which updates or drivers you think might have been removed and replaced?
