Hello. I attempted to install a Samsung 870 EVO HDD in the 2.5" port of my laptop (Lenovo IdeaPad S540-15IWL GTX) for extra storage. The existing M.2 SSD stays installed. The device shows up in BIOS but not in disk management on Windows 11. The controller type listed is AHCI according to the BIOS. I changed the controller mode in BIOS to AHCI from RST, but it reverts back to RST every time I restart. I also tried disabling secure boot and forcing a legacy boot instead of UEFI, yet nothing works. Please let me know if you need any assistance. Thank you!

No, there are no settings under "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" that need clearing or resetting.

You're right, it seems limited. Pressing "> Intel® Rapid Storage Technology" leads to that message.
