I have been attempting to download my drivers for my Rtx 2070 for several days. I reset the BIOS to remove a password which helped initially, but now my motherboard doesn't recognize my GPU (RTX 2070). I've checked the Device Manager and it's not listed, tried downloading drivers manually and through the GeForce app, and even after installing new BIOS for the GPU, nothing seems to work.

SOLVED. I needed to refresh my Windows using the provided link. After reinstalling, an outdated update appeared to have been applied.

The fans on the rtx 2070 are also spinning, so I don't believe the actual GPU is faulty.
EDIT: There seems to be another unknown device often mistaken for the graphics card; when I attempt an update, it fails to detect any updates automatically or manually.

You may consider using DDU to remove drivers and then proceed to the Nvidia website to reinstall your specific ones, checking if this resolves the issue.

to ensure clarity, everything functioned perfectly until I reset my BIOS by removing the small lithium battery from the motherboard and then putting it back in.

Check your BIOS for options to select between built-in and separate graphics cards.
