By the way, do you know whether I should have performed the deactivation as mentioned in the link you shared? Or was it done using the slmgr.vbs -upk tool? It worked the same as the tutorial I linked.

I'm not sure, since I haven't needed to turn off Windows before. Using a single key for several installations works well for me.
