These USB connections aren't linked to the internet. They're meant for external hard drives, functioning similarly to a network-attached storage device.

Ive only seen that capability on a few routers. For example the Sinology RT2600AC has this ability BUT this list of supported devices is pretty slim. Unless the router specs have 4G/5G support listed for the USB port, there is a chance that it wont have that capability.
