In the BIOS settings of your MSI Carbon Z690 WIFI board, the XMP feature appears disabled. You're using an i9 12900k and TeamGroup Elite with 32GB DDR5 RAM installed in slots 2 and 4. It seems the BIOS doesn't offer XMP support for these components, or there might be a configuration issue. Check your RAM specifications and ensure they match the required standards for XMP compatibility.

The listing doesn't reference XMP, indicating those connectors aren't compatible. You're already receiving the expected performance.

This 4800Mhz DDR5 RAM is still under active development and may not yet support all features. It might take some time before overclocking with DDR5 modules becomes possible. If you're already running at the 4800Mhz speed, XMP isn't necessary.

He just bought some high-end Jedec memory modules. They act like premium RAM and don’t include heat sinks. The standard Jedec supports up to 6400MHz on DDR5, while newer kits with XMP support will be faster.

I haven't purchased or utilized DDR5 RAM yet, either for myself or anyone else. If what Shrimp mentions is accurate, then the lack of XMP support likely stems from buying standard-speed DDR5 RAM that can't reach the necessary performance levels. It's similar to using regular 2133 DDR4 RAM and attempting to apply XMP—it won't work.

Seems like I nailed it—this was the only DDR5 I could find. I’ll switch it later, but it’s a big upgrade over my old DDR3!
