Hey everyone! I recently swapped out my GTX 1070 for an RTX 2070 to boost performance, and after three weeks the new GPU is already active. I installed it roughly two hours ago and everything seems to be working properly (drivers are set up). I decided to check the BIOS settings to see if they stayed consistent. While browsing, I noticed my RAM wasn’t showing XMP support and couldn’t locate the option to enable it. I assumed the BIOS had been updated and tried reverting back to the original version (pressing F1). No changes. I’ve been adjusting clock speeds, voltages, and latency to align with the RAM’s XMP profile. However, when I opened CPU-Z, one module displayed XMP clocks while the other didn’t. I figured the XMP profile for one RAM stick might have been wiped, so I’m planning to swap one module out and test the other. If it works, I hope to fix the issue. Any suggestions or experiences from others with similar setups? Let me know!
Are you certain you have the correct BIOS for your motherboard? An incorrect version might stop the successful update.
Checked the support sections for your board, but it doesn't list that particular RAM as officially supported.
It's clear that one module isn't set up for XMP. I don't know why it got removed.
They didn’t promise 100% reliability, so a hard reset or clearing the CMOS might help. Were you purchasing them together as a pair, and are they new?
