Unable to access Recovery Mode on a 2014 MacBook Pro
It seems there were some formatting issues during setup. The system frequently displays a bootloader upon startup and automatically picks the MacOS partition. However, the current interface makes it hard to access recovery mode using the Command + R shortcut. I installed Sonoma using Open Core Patcher, but my main goal was to disable SIP, limit power usage, and adjust voltage settings. When prompted to force-shutoff and reset the password, I encountered a "blocked/prohibited" message with a link to Apple support. It appears I might not have a proper recovery environment set up. Additionally, when it automatically switched to recovery via internet, no boot devices were found, preventing a password reset. I’m worried about reinstalling the OS because I’m not very comfortable with Macs. Can you help resolve this without needing a full reinstall?
