Hello, thank you for your question. I understand this might seem a bit basic, but I’m just getting started with custom builds and compact systems. You’re aiming for a motherboard that’s 4 inches or smaller in either length or thickness, perfect for fitting into a slim tube that holds a 4-inch diameter. At this stage, size, performance, and price are still important, but your priority is the form factor. I recall an ITX model is the tiniest standard option at about 6.7 inches, which might be what you’re after. You’re also thinking about finding a pre-built unit that could be removed easily for your rocket-style enclosure.

Perhaps the UDOO Bolt or certain Intel NUCs... but not much in terms of standalone parts for custom configurations, most will remain fully preassembled systems.

Some Intel NUC boards match the same size design. Pico-ITX could also fit. Keep in mind most lack PCIe ports.

It's great to hear! Now that I understand the terms, Google is offering a wide range of options.
