Ugly Crypters and ransomware were involved.
Hi there. I'm Nane from Romania, and I've got a serious issue. My daughter was using the internet and accidentally got a really bad encryption. It locked all my photos and documents on the computer. The encryption tool is .wisz with an online key. Can I possibly decrypt those files? I'll send you a sample for anyone who wants to help. Thanks! Edited May 12, 2024 by Spotty attachment removed
You can explore NoMoreRansom to find a decrypter for the ransomware affecting your system. https://www.nomoreransom.org/ Review their available decrypters or submit an encrypted file for automatic analysis. Note that not all ransomware has a decrypter, and wisz isn't listed there—uploading your file might help identify it under another name. If no solution is found, consider wiping the drive. Without backups, your data may be permanently lost. I've removed the attached file; avoid sharing potentially harmful files from infected devices.
Thanks for the guidance... I'll maintain this setup. Perhaps someday... keep it up! Thanks again.
Ensure your system is up to date with the newest patches and security fixes. You may notice a slight performance impact, but it’s necessary for safety.
