Ugh, I’m a physician…
Well, I managed to get the hardware in place. But I’m still having trouble reaching the full performance from my DDR5. The configuration I’m using looks like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4CPLFs. So far, only 32 Gb at 5800 mt/s or 64 Gb at 3600 mt/s have worked. Keep in mind the system boots up quickly—about five seconds—when DOCP is turned off. Is there a special trick here or are the BIOS settings really limiting things?
Check your BIOS version first—it’s important to ensure compatibility. Early BIOS versions often have memory support issues, which might explain the problems. Using four 32GB DDR5 modules can be tricky; it may function if you’re careful, but risks increase significantly without proper setup. For a 64GB RAM requirement, consider a 2x32GB configuration instead.
I mean you got 2 different kits of ddr5 so this is kinda expected. There is NO guarantee they work together if you do that. I'd return the ram and get a 2 dimms kit.
Also overspent on the 6000CL40. It would have been a better choice, but folks just love Corsair for some reason. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hRQcCJ/...2gx2-tz5nr
I didn’t get that cost for it. It was $85 each. Since Corsair was the only option nearby, I chose it instead of waiting the two-month wait from Amazon to Puerto Rico.
