Ubuntu won't engage my Wi-Fi card once I power down the HP Pavilion laptop (sealing the lid). Upon restarting, the Wi-Fi symbol vanishes and connecting attempts reveal the adapter is disabled or inaccessible.

Here are the outputs you requested:

- lspci: List of devices connected to the system.
- dmesg: Recent kernel messages and system events.
After restarting NetworkManager: sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager

The system requested your password for the laptop but did not proceed further.

Requested the results from lspci and dmesg. Restarting NetworkManager usually doesn’t show changes, but fixing a crashed service might resolve the problem.

You can use command-line shortcuts or scripts to save time. Try running commands like `echo` or `cat` with minimal input, or write a small script to automate your tasks.

Most terminals allow this with ctrl+shift+c.

Sure, I understand. The issue is that my laptop doesn’t have Wi-Fi.
