I prefer Manjaro KDE Plasma for Arch users who find setup tricky. Arch can behave oddly and often comes with old software, which I’ve had issues with. However, this is just my perspective.

He's mentioned Manjaro and Arch Linux, seems curious about them. Arch doesn't require an installer, which might be appealing!? Noticing your effort today, and wishing you and your family are safe. Cheers, Martin.

Arch doesn’t include an installer by default. Standard components like Dolphin on Ubuntu are optional—you’ll need to decide which ones to add. For example, if you install NetworkManager, it won’t start automatically; you must enable it with systemd using "systemctl enable --now NetworkManager" or run it manually as needed. Newcomers might find this process tricky.

For those comfortable with Linux, it gives full control from the beginning, eliminating unnecessary services and extra files.

If you prefer a ready-made setup, Manjaro is built on Arch with a two-week package hold, offering pre-configured options for most users.

I installed Debian 9 for a year on my old FX machine and am considering reverting to it since setup takes some time. Arch seems to handle similar formats well. I might check out Manjaro Gnome desktop and see what works. M.

I saw that Manjaro experienced some update problems, have you encountered them too?
