I'm having possibly the same problem. We have a network with multiple Powerbeams behind a Nomadix. We port forward to them to access them remotely and sometimes you can reach them on their 10.IP that is port forwarded, other times you have to access them on a 169.IP that is port forwarded. When you log into them, you can confirm static is on, and looking at the station list you see they all show their 10.IP even though you can only reach them on a 169.IP. Some are brand new, others are recently factory reset after some APs being swapped around. And I know it isn't just the Nomadix and the port forwarding because if you are onsite on the network, you have the same problem trying to access them with a laptop.
