I just connected my 1800x (@3.9Ghz) with the 1080Ti and tried Watch Dogs for the first time after spotting a good deal on some bundle sites. Everything ran smoothly at ultra settings, delivering over 120 fps and crisp visuals even though it's quite old now. The only hiccup came when I had to navigate through the city while avoiding police, which caused brief microstutters—from 120 fps down to around 20 for a moment before recovering. It was frustrating and affected the overall experience. Could this be related to my hardware setup? I’m not sure since everything else worked fine, so I’m wondering if it’s just outdated game code from Ubisoft.
They added three layers of defense to Assassin's Creed Origins, causing your main processor to run at full capacity while using only 50% of its power.
Sure thing. It seems turning it off helped, but restarting didn’t fix it. Now it’s still running smoothly. Could be background processes affecting performance. I’m playing at ultra 1440p and seeing 80–120 FPS based on the situation.
