Ubisoft executive claims all PC gamers are pirates
Ubisoft had previously expressed this in official comments long ago. Remember when fans believed EA was terrible?
Absolutely, it's true that many PC gamers share a pirate vibe. That's likely why Steam consistently ranks high in sales.
Also, a bit unrelated but not crucial—Uplay isn’t working in the Netherlands anymore. You can’t sign in, and my FC4 progress halted around 69%. Guess this is just a joke, right? It definitely has to be...
I began avoiding Ubisoft titles after Anno 2070 and when they removed the "95% of PC gamers are pirates" claim from everyone’s mind. I promised myself never buying another Ubisoft game again. I received Child of Light and Rayman Origins from an unknown source, which was kind of nice and enjoyable. Then came the two free games with my GTX 980—Unity and FC4. Unity isn’t playable for me, while FC4 suffers from audio problems; I can barely hear anything except during cutscenes, which is strange. Apart from that sound issue, FC4 seems to run well, so perhaps they’ve made some progress. Still, Unity solidified my strong dislike for Ubisoft, especially after the Watchdogs controversy. If they keep criticizing us as pirates, it’s enough to stop supporting PC games altogether.
