Ubisoft Connect BETA?
Ubisoft Connect BETA?
This app appears at the worst times, interrupting gameplay or while not needed, and why does it display beta mode? How are we going to fix this annoying issue? I prefer Ubisoft Connect, but it should work properly without being in beta. I don’t want anyone forced into testing, I just enjoy playing games!
First of all remember that the app is BETA meaning that the code is being tested.
That is a long-standing premise with respect to BETA installs.
The developer may have simply left in bits and pieces of code that may or may not eventually be removed. Or serving as a placeholder for future plans and actions.

What link did you use to install the software?
Reinstall - doublecheck that the download is indeed the current and stable version of the software.
And not a BETA version. All too easy with some websites/sources to go astray with respect to finding and downloading software. May or may not be intentional by the "webmasters".

That said - other things you can do:
Look in Task Manager > Startup and also look in Task Scheduler.
Most likely some process is either being launched at startup or being triggered later on by some other event or action on your system.
Two other places to look: Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer. Either one or both tools may be capturing some error code, warning, or informational event just before or at the time the pop-up appears.
Check all running apps/processes carefully. The culprit may be disguised to look legitimate.
Or may be a legitimate but buggy or corrupted bit of code.
For even more detail use Microsoft's Process Explorer (free).

Objective being to discover the culprit and determine if it can indeed be removed/uninstalled or disabled.
I did reinstall it, with two different installers, one from the ubisoft connect website: download Ubisoft connect and the other found in a downloaded game from steam in the installation directory, both end up being installed and state that the app is in BETA.
Yes ever since lately this Ubisoft connect has a task in Task scheduler, witch to my knowledge it is not supposed to have, probably the cause of this issues but can't yet be remedied because any attempt to remove or delete said task folder just returns to the same broken state of the app within a few hours or days, and the app popups continue whilst gaming.
There has got to be a remedy for this without breaking what is required for normal functionality of the gaming pc.
So if this is true, then when have to ask ourselves how we prevent apps from creating tasks in the task scheduler.
Interesting. My initial reaction is that the code seems designed specifically to adjust the Task Scheduler settings. Could you capture a screenshot of the task you discovered in Task Scheduler? If possible, share it here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

While searching online, I came across this link:

Not a gamer (full disclosure), but the concept of "microtransactions" makes me think they might be trying to gather more real money from players.
And simplify the process for players to pay more without disrupting gameplay, making it easy and minimally invasive. Just collecting small amounts over time.
Please read any EUA thoroughly.
That said, I’ll wait for feedback from the gaming community about this feature in the Ubisoft environment.
