Many Amazon listings appear similar with minimal details, and even top-rated items often lack thorough descriptions. Compared to alternatives like NewEgg, the quality is still insufficient. If it comes from Amazon, that’s a clear advantage. For the small extra cost (around $5), purchasing directly from the Canadian UBNT store would be better.
Fanless style stands out the most. The interface is excellent and quite simple. It’s also very slim, making it suitable for my desired shelf. I haven’t used any Ubiquity items before, so I’m unsure if I’ll like them. Have you placed an order through their Canadian website? Are there any customs or taxes on the shipment?
I haven't seen anything. I can only guess it won't happen, though if no tax is applied at checkout, we might still charge a delivery fee just in case.
It's available on Amazon, but it looks like it's currently out of stock. I haven't placed an order through Ubiquiti, so unless it ships from Canada—which is unlikely—they'll charge you taxes, duties, and possibly brokerage fees.
There’s a simple solution: contact the support line for the UBNT Canada webstore and inquire. @SugarDaddy it’s possible they have a Canadian warehouse for distribution. Even without one, whether you must pay duties depends on the product and price—if it comes from the US, NAFTA (or USMCA) likely applies, so taxes are still due, though you’ll need to factor them in. Regarding UPS’s brokerage fee, if the store lets you choose between USPS or Canada Post, you won’t have to pay that charge.
