I looked at the titles during Steam's Exploration Sale. Anno 2070 and Far Cry 3 both had solid ratings, though some negative feedback came mainly from Uplay. It seems Ubisoft may not always heed such opinions. Their PC sales appear to come mostly from Steam rather than traditional retail channels. There’s no public petition addressing their DRM issues or quality decline, despite many strong games being released.

Ubisoft takes feedback, but from a business angle it doesn’t make sense to alter course since demand remains strong despite criticism. People should use their spending power to influence the company and halt these actions. Until individuals understand how to stop this situation, Ubisoft will continue its current path.

They need to stop insisting on buying if it gets fixed and just say no. What will happen is they’ll keep making games, hoping people will buy them once problems are resolved. I’m using AC Unity on Uplay with a GTX 970 discount, but I’ve played FC4 and pirated versions too. I won’t support Ubisoft games until I see solid, bug-free titles—just clean and enjoyable ones. I believe EA is superior to Ubisoft and they’re always chasing speed improvements.

I recall seeing a discussion about a Ubisoft representative stating they aren’t focused on PC since most people just download pirated copies. The reality is, many still buy decent games, not necessarily the best ones, as long as they’re better than others. Their low PC sales stem mainly from the popularity of Uplay.

Mostly their earnings come from PC sales, but it seems they’re ignoring this fact.

Might and Magic: Heroes VI could have been good, just average.

to claim ubisoft produces poor games comes across as excessive. They have made several questionable decisions, and I personally don’t like their current path. They seem indifferent to PC development. Additionally, they often release games that are incomplete. However, there’s a reason behind their success—they usually create quality titles most of the time. Nowadays, it’s less impressive. It’s unfair to view Ubi as a single entity; I see them as having two parts: the development side and the distribution/marketing side. I believe the development team is striving for excellence, even if they’re limited by the other side. They’re also constrained by the constraints of next-gen consoles. There’s also a segment of Ubi that criticizes themselves and tries to rationalize their errors as design choices, which is not constructive. They don’t let themselves admit imperfections (perhaps that’s just how big AAA companies operate), making this situation complicated. There’s no single explanation.

That's the thing, games were never bad, watch dogs and ac unity aren't bad, they just run like shit at release, but the game itself is fine.

Yeah, it seems most of their titles aren't terrible—it's just that some people are criticizing them. I wish more folks online would report issues with Ubisoft, so they could improve for the future. That’s a key reason why companies succeed. Companies like CD Projekt Red do the same. Also, Valve pays attention—CS:GO really took off because they adapted to what players wanted. Speaking of Valve, how about HL3 and Gaben?
