My temperature is about 30c during idle and 75c under load (in cinebench r 15). Is this typical for my first overclock?

Looks very promising to me.
at idle, I anticipate 10-15c. with any cooler in a well-ventilated case.
You're doing well there.
75c. is acceptable under load. I might aim for up to 85c. during a stress test.
The main thing to keep an eye on is vcore.
You should avoid exceeding 1.4v.
Check this with cpu-Z.
I think you likely have more room than expected.
As of 3/22/2018
What percentage of I7-8700k chips can operate at an aggressive vcore close to 1.4 or slightly higher and remain delidded?
5.0 88%
5.1 54%
5.2 22%
Don't worry too much about temperature.
The chip will slow down or shut down if it senses a high heat level.
That would be around 100c.
Actually, I wouldn't take any action—how much more than 4.7 would you really need?

Just in case you require additional confirmation, geofelt accurately reflects that temperatures are excellent.

My temperature is about 30c at idle and 75c under load (in cinebench r 15). Is this normal for my first overclock?
75c is a very safe overclock temperature and helps the CPU last longer.
The better my overclocking performance with the 8700K, the better the silicon quality and cooling solution are, plus other BIOS-related factors.
If you want to go further, sharing your full specs will be the first step, as advice depends directly on your hardware setup and operating system.
