You're curious about the impact of dual-channel settings on your setup. Since you're using an i5 2400 with LGA 1155, it's worth noting that dual-channel configuration isn't enabled by default. Your current setup with two 2GB sticks and one 4GB stick likely isn't taking full advantage of dual-channel bandwidth. The low FPS you're experiencing might be due to other factors like GPU performance or game settings rather than CPU limitations.

Yes. Absolutely. It seems your setup uses dual-channel, and some YouTube clips are entirely fabricated. With a GT440, I’ve dealt with fake content before—just trust me on this! The imbalance in memory banks or channels might be creating issues; consider adding more RAM or removing the overloaded module.

I haven't tried it myself, but I've been curious if systems can be set up manually with dual channels. If the motherboard has four RAM slots, let's label them 1 through 4, placing the closest one near the CPU. Most guides suggest using slots 2 and 4 for the sticks. Generally, a 4GB module should go in slot 2, while the two 2GB modules fit into slots 3 and 4. This way, each channel still holds its full capacity.

It really adds up: Channel 01, 02, 01, 02; Memory 04, 02, 00, 02. Not entirely clear if this makes sense for a motherboard, though! Anyone have thoughts?

Ramslot: The numbers listed are 01, 02, 03, 04 and it's on channel 01, 01, 02, 02. Memory shows 00, 04, 02, 02. This is what I proposed—it should be symmetrical so you can reverse the sequence.
