Two or more operating systems on a single computer?
They include many operating systems on a single PC through software updates and compatibility layers.
Through dual, triple, quadruple, or other startup methods or by launching a virtual machine.
Any who notice, running virtual machines and dual booting on one or multiple drives are common approaches.
Consider your storage setup and preferred installation method. Do you have a specific operating system in mind? Which approach do you favor—using separate drives, virtual machines, or dual booting on one? Please mention one drive option, a new drive, or virtual machines.
Multiple operating systems can run on a single system. I use Linux everywhere. However, I keep a small section of the hard drive where Windows is installed just in case. On my PC, Windows takes up around 3GB. My laptop uses the full 250GB from its old Windows drive. Only on this specific drive can I point you there. Windows tends to resist other OSes... So I usually install Windows first, then add the other OS. Most often it will recognize Windows and set up the bootloader properly. Windows will simply remove the other bootloader, which can complicate starting the alternative OS.
You may use multiple operating systems on a single machine. On my setup I run Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. If you have various Windows versions, the setup tool will recognize them and configure everything properly. When I power on my device, it displays a similar interface: for instance, Windows 8 and Windows 10 Technical Preview are available as choices. If you have three or more OSes, the layout might appear differently.
