Early tests on 9820x with mild overclocking were stable, but random shutdowns occurred when the 00 debug code appeared on the MSI Tomahawk Arctic X299. An Intel replacement was ordered. After two weeks of normal operation on a new CPU, putting the machine to sleep, it failed again with the same code. What might be causing this?

Further research suggests the Vengance RGB RAM could trigger voltage spikes when the PC powers up, especially since it’s cached in RAM. It’s mostly a matter of interpretation, though it makes sense.
