I don't understand how quickly he can produce content using dev tools. I'm not familiar with Mac or his workflow, but he does a solid job. He's using Catalina on a 2011 Mac Mini without any issues.

I remain hopeful. He hasn’t spoken much, but he’s created patches since Sierra, so it’s likely to happen. It’s especially true with MacOS 11, which supports many older systems, including mine.

He believes it will be extremely challenging to develop compared to earlier versions. He mentioned that getting support for non-metal GPUs will be difficult, so he expects non-metal support won't appear soon. Mac Pro models with metal GPUs might need a patch, as discussed in the forum thread.
