This means you now have two Ethernet connections on your new motherboard. Some people think it improves performance, while others say it just adds speed or reliability. Since you're already getting the maximum speed from your internet service, the extra ports might be useful for connecting multiple devices or expanding your network setup.

you have several options:
- connect two cables to your network and use SMBv3 for 2Gbps speeds to your NAS, provided it supports it
- connect to two separate networks (like streaming and gaming) for better traffic management
- assign one network for your main use and another for direct connections, such as linking to another device

Furthermore, these connections can often become unnecessary links—when one wire fails, traffic reroutes to another port. Unless you rely on a file server or manage heavy data flow, they likely won’t add much value.
